393 West End Avenue is located on the Upper West Side in the recently designated West-End Collegiate Historic District extension. The project comprised the building’s first comprehensive façade and roof repair and restoration program. Care was taken to retain the building’s historic character and its rich embellishments. The scope of work included brick and lintel replacement, terra cotta patching and repairs, and stabilization of deteriorated structural columns at the basement level and supports for the water tower.
